OUR PROJECTS

As a Vatican non-profit organization dedicated to students, pilgrims, the legacy of St. John Paul II, and Christian culture, our Foundation has been undertaking concrete actions in many areas for almost 45 years. Discover our most important projects.

Vatican Premio San Giovanni Paolo II Award

Vatican Premio San Giovanni Paolo II Award

Since 2024, on behalf of the Vatican, we have been awarding the St. John Paul II Prize. During a solemn ceremony at the Apostolic Palace, we honor a person or institution that concretely transforms the world by following the values espoused by St. John Paul II. In this way, we bring forth true pearls from the world, and by awarding a prize of 30,000 euros, we support their actions. The first recipient was the John Paul II Justice and Peace Centre from Uganda, and in 2025, the heroic Archbishop Jacques Mourad from Syria, miraculously saved from the hands of ISIS, became the laureate.

St. John Paul II Days at Pontifical Universities in Rome

St. John Paul II Days at Pontifical Universities in Rome

Since 2024, our Foundation has been co-organizing a multi-day scientific conference in Rome dedicated to the thought of St. John Paul II. The event takes place at three pontifical universities: the Angelicum University, the Gregorian University, and the Santa Croce University. The theme of the first edition is: Faith and Reason in the Thought of St. John Paul II. Each day, at one of the three mentioned universities, the most distinguished intellectuals of Rome and invited foreign experts reflect on social issues and theological problems, viewing them through the prism of Wojtyła's teaching. The Papal Days conclude with a solemn Gala, during which a final lecture takes place and readings by students awarded in the competition.

Scientific camp in the Polish mountains

Scientific camp in the Polish mountains

Our Foundation co-organizes mountain scientific camps for students in the Tatra Mountains. Following in the footsteps of St. John Paul II, we hike through the Polish mountains and each day analyze his encyclicals in the company of the best professors, experts, and specialists. We are also preparing for the organization of international student camps in Rome. The event lasting almost 2 weeks is an excellent opportunity to deepen the social, philosophical, social, and artistic thought of Karol Wojtyła, as well as to integrate the community of young intellectuals.
