St. John Paul II wanted his teaching to participate in a living dialogue with the changing world. That is why the John Paul II Vatican Foundation was conceived from the beginning as a meeting space where faith, culture and reflection on humanity lead to action. The Foundation creates a place for conversation and cooperation, where the legacy of John Paul II inspires responsible thinking about the present and taking concrete initiatives in the spirit of Christian values.

The Foundation acts as a bridge connecting Christian culture communities from different parts of the world. It supports cooperation between people of culture, science and social life who find inspiration in the teaching of John Paul II for further action. For many years, it has also been creating an international community through Circles of Friends of the Foundation operating in various countries. This creates an environment of people united by a common concern for culture, dialogue and responsibility for the common good.
The John Paul II Vatican Foundation documents and develops the Pope's legacy in such a way that it remains a point of reference for contemporary seekers. We create an open meeting space for students, pilgrims, artists, scientists and all those interested in reflecting on culture and humanity. The Foundation brings together people who, inspired by the teaching of John Paul II, seek truth, beauty and the meaning of life and want to translate these values into concrete social and cultural actions.
We are guided by a supreme goal: we want everyone who comes into contact with the Foundation – whether as a student, pilgrim, artist, scientist or donor – to experience that the values drawn from the Gospel and the teaching of St. John Paul II have real power to answer the questions of contemporary humanity and transform their lives. Thus, through its formative offerings, scholarship programs, cultural events and prayer meetings, the John Paul II Vatican Foundation gradually realizes the Polish Pope's dream of a civilization of love – a world based on brotherhood and solidarity, where truth liberates and good triumphs over evil.

Our goal is to build an environment where thought meets action. We achieve this through scholarship programs, cultural events, educational initiatives and supporting young people in their intellectual and spiritual development. In this way, the legacy of John Paul II becomes an inspiration to take responsibility for culture, society and the future of the world.
Special attention in the Foundation's activities is given to caring for the younger generation, their formation and scientific and cultural development. Sensitivity to the importance of science, culture and social solidarity was one of the most important elements of Karol Wojtyła's pontificate. Understanding his life and teaching also allows for a better understanding of the Foundation's mission, which develops his legacy by creating a space for reflection, cooperation and responsible action.
